Danny releases the fifth wheel and disconnects air and electrical lines, after dropping
off the trailer at MacFrugals. Dannys 1988 Volvo is powered by a 315
Cummins engine, nine-speed transmission and holds two 75-gallon fuel tanks. The cab is
decorated with photos of Danny and Erins children. "I take
my kids with me everywhere," Danny says.
Frank Garcia, Dannys dad, arrives at MacFrugals as Danny is leaving. Frank, a
seasoned driver, has worked for Rail Delivery Services for several years.
Rain caused freeway accidents which truckers warned each other about over their
CB radios.
And suddenly, Sunshine!, making it a true sunny California day.
Other Rail Delivery Services trucks and drivers could be
spotted on the road.
Weather Driving. "It

Danny. But the worst weather condition of them all, Danny says, is high winds, followed by
fog, then rain.
At Sears, the security guard checks the trailer for content.
Rail Delivery Services employee Alfredo Guerero serves Toyota, along with several
other RDS employees, as a yard switch operator.
Danny's Pet Peeve. Drivers who cut
in front of you without enough warning or with no warning at all. Trucks cant slow
down or stop as quickly as cars. Dannys Advice: Before you make that move, put on
your turn signal. Its probably safe to change lanes when you can see the
trucks headlights in your rear view mirror.
