Leaders in our Industry

RDS was a founding member of the American Trucking Association's Intermodal Council and the Intermodal Steering Committee of the California Trucking Association. We are active in the American Trucking Associations, ATA’s Intermodal Conference, the California Trucking Association and the Intermodal Association of North America. In the late 1990s, Rail Delivery was voted as one of the Top 10 Woman-Owned Businesses in the Nation by Entrepreneur Magazine and Dun and Bradstreet. Rail Delivery is continuously recognized by their customers for outstanding service. We’ve earned Hub Group’s Western Region Drayage Carrier of the Year (1997), Toyota’s Kaizen Challenge, Excalibur Award from Consolidated/Big Lots and numerous on-time awards from other customers. Most of the on-time awards recognized us for 98 percent to 100 percent on-time (in a Southern California area known for its horrendous gridlock!).

Moving Forward

Today’s Rail Delivery Services’ headquarters facility in Fontana, California, features a dual, state-of-the-art warehouse facility on 9 acres with 100,000 square feet of warehouse space, 44 customized truck docks, 7,000 square feet of office, multiple T-1 Internet lines, and parking for 150 53-foot trailers. We are strategically located in the center of Southern California’s transportation hub, within a 10 mile radius of 80 percent of the largest distribution centers. We are designed and built for years of growth and customized service for our clients.

Clean Truck Program

In recent years Rail Delivery Services has taken a leading role in reducing particulate diesel emissions and pollutants by securing new, environmentally friendly "Clean Trucks" for their drivers.

A Man With a Dream

How a driver with a dream of owning his own truck experienced gigantic, incredibly expensive truck problems and was about to lose his ownership dream until Rail Delivery set him back on the path to success. Recognizing Rick’s integrity, good driving, honesty and commitment to doing a good job, RDS created a new start for Rick.

Exceptional Customer Service

Rail Delivery staff consider each customer’s overall delivery and pickup needs. We also provide auxiliary services including yard logistics and management, return products’ services, and we pick-up and deliver to and from California distribution centers.

A Bright Future

Rail Delivery's CEO shares how she initially became the owner of the small, struggling intermodal trucking firm in Alhambra, California, and how with vision and a commitment to advancing technology the company has grown into a major forward - looking, customer-responsive intermodal provider in one of the busiest geographical areas of Southern California.
